Meet Tim Marquette, Your Luxury Travel Advisor

It was off-peak season. I took the train to Fujinomiya to begin my journey. Normally, a bus will bring you partway up the mountain to begin the six-hour summit from there, but no busses were running this time of year, so the only way up was to start walking. It was 3 pm when I set-off. 

I hiked and rested as the day turned into night. Upward I continued until I reached the top in time for sunrise at 4:30 am. I was above the clouds with Japan and the Pacific Ocean far below me. Standing on the edge of the volcanic crater, the sky began to warm with beautiful hues of red and orange. As the sunlight grew brighter, I looked around and realized I was completely alone – not a single human in sight. 

This was truly the most spiritual moment of my life! 

Though the solitude was intensely empowering, I also felt a deep longing to share this life-altering experience with someone special -- a sibling, a best friend, a love…   

It was also the moment I realized that living in the world meant something more to me. I understood that the world should be seen, heard, tasted, touched, and inhaled – and the magic of it all should be shared with the special people in our lives.       

Since then, I’ve enjoyed life-changing experiences that have opened my mind and brought me closer to the people I love – whether a private wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma Valleys with my cousins, exploring the Big Marine 5 along the South African coastline with a great friend, or sitting in a gozzo enjoying the mystical Blue Grotto with my love. Now, I want to help others live their own adventures and make memories that will last a lifetime with the people they love.

My background as a professional actor, musician, and educator has been fueled by my desire to not just exist in this world, but truly live in it! Now as a luxury travel advisor and designer, my goal is to help turn your travel dreams into your story -- living the best experiences the world has to offer!

 My passion for culture, the arts, history, language, food and wine, exploration, and sustainability -- combined with my worldwide connections and network of experienced travel providers -- I will collaborate with you to design a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience filled with incredible memories to share for years to come!
